Catherine Godin, the Canadian Ambassador to Poland, recently visited Kazimierz Wielki University (UKW). This visit was facilitated by the Museum of Polish Diplomacy and Exile, which has established strong ties with Canada. The Ambassador expressed a particular interest in the unique relationship between Poland and Canada.

The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to explore potential areas for collaboration. Professor Marek Macko, Vice-Rector for Organization, Cooperation, and Development at UKW, highlighted the significance of international cooperation among academic institutions, especially in the implementation of modern technologies and the development of innovations. He indicated that Kazimierz Wielki University could serve as an attractive partner for prestigious Canadian universities, such as the University of Waterloo and the University of Toronto.

During her visit, the Ambassador not only toured the Museum of Polish Diplomacy and Exile but also visited the Botanical Garden, which looked splendid on that sunny Friday afternoon.

In the guest book of the Museum of Polish Diplomacy and Refugees, the Canadian Representative in Poland wrote:

„Thank you very much for hosting us to a delightful visit of the Diplomatic Museum. we are impressed that the Canadian connection has blossomed into such a rich and exciting collection. Again, the people to people ties between Poland and Canada lead to beautiful initiatives.”
