The new semester is fast approaching, and soon we will welcome our new Erasmus+ students. They will come from Albania, Algeria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Georgia, Jordan, Latvia, Moldova, Morocco, Namibia, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Türkiye, and Ukraine.
It has become our tradition to pair international students with UKW students to promote intercultural and language exchange. Each Erasmus+ student gains a new Polish friend who helps them cope with the challenges they may encounter during their stay in Bydgoszcz.
As every new beginning can be challenging, we support our incoming students in feeling at home at UKW and in Bydgoszcz by inviting them to take part in the Welcome Week programme. During this event-filled week, we organise numerous activities to help students become familiar with the university and learn more about Polish culture, language, and cuisine. Erasmus+ students will participate in information sessions, presentations, guided tours, trips, workshops, and parties.
The Welcome Week for the upcoming semester will take place from Monday, 23 February, to Friday, 27 February 2026. We will begin with the welcome meeting on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the University Library at 3 Szymanowskiego Street. This meeting, as well as the entire Welcome Week, will be a great opportunity to meet fellow international students and find answers to all your questions.
We wish everyone a happy springtime!
